Gary Hopkins
Gary Hopkins is a ministry development officer in the Methodist Church with a brief for supporting chaplaincy. He is a local preacher and organist/pianist and has a degree in theology. Before working for the Church, he worked in education for fifteen years, including working as a deputy headteacher in a primary school and an assistant headteacher in a secondary school and has a masters in educational leadership and management. He continues his passion for helping children and young people succeed as a governor of a school in Birmingham.
Gary has a passion for supporting the church in enabling the gifts of all people with a strong belief in the ministry of the whole people of God in mission for the sake of the world. Gary has penned several hymns and has a hymn in the latest hymn book of the Methodist Church, Singing the Faith.
