Garry Neave

Revd. Garry Neave is the Church of England’s National FE and HE Policy Adviser, based at Church House, Westminster, and is the current Chair of CHELG. Garry’s worked in schools, FE colleges (where he was a chaplain) and in HE. His responsibilities now involve liaison with policy makers, regulators and church leaders, including those on speak on FE and HE in the House of Lords. He has a particular interest in how universities work out the way in which their values affect their behaviour and decision-making, and in the place of faith in education. Garry also advises church leaders and HEI on appointing and supporting chaplains, pastoral and interfaith issues and the impact of chaplaincy on mental health and wellbeing. He’s an Assistant Priest at an estates church in Harlow, in his home Diocese of Chelmsford.
