Father Alexander is an Orthodox priest of the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.
Alexander came to England from Greece in 1971 and trained as an architect at the Architectural Association in London. He was ordained by the late Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh in 1985, and has been a chaplain at King’s College London and the London School of Economics ever since.
In addition to his chaplaincy work and being the Orthodox representative on CHELG, he is the rector of the Parish of Saint Peter & Saint Paul in Clapham, south London and priest-in-charge of two Orthodox communities in Canterbury and Lamberhurst in Kent.
He is married to Patricia, an Icon painter, and they have four grown-up children, Anna, Eleni, Michael and Mary and, so far, three grandchildren.
